Finch was born in La Mirada Calif. and began playing softball as a child. Doug Finch is Jennie's very first pitching instructor. Jennie first used the Finch Windmill in the year 10. She pitched 13 no-hitters and six flawless games during high school. Following high school, she attended an undergraduate program at the University of Arizona and was recognized as a three-time All American pitcher, as also a first baseman. The year 2001 was the year her Wildcats team took home the National Championship as well as in 2002, she won an award called the Honda Award for the best softballer in the country. Wounded Warrior amputee softball (WWAST) is a collective of amputees with a mission to promote awareness and raise funds through shows, star softball teams as well as other occasions that highlight the courage and sacrifices made by our military personnel and the way they are able to overcome any obstacle.
